That’s something that we were clearly very well aware — aware of since — since earlier this year. We have put plans in place and processes in place to deal with this very moment.

But he was asked a question, and he answered it.

Title 42, a Trump-era policy that forced asylum seeking migrants to remain in Mexico during the legal process, is expiring this week. Before Title 42 ends, yesterday there were nearly 10,000 migrant encounters on the southern border. There are around 27,000 migrants currently in CBP custody. According to some estimates, up to 1 million illegals are at the US-Mexico border waiting to storm the US this week.
