Mollie Hemingway schools lawfare apologist Marie Harf, lays out the fact that corrupt Democrat prosecutions against Trump were a highly motivating factor in the campaign:
HEMINGWAY: “The abuse of law was one of these underrated issues that that motivated a lot of people to vote for Donald Trump, having Democrat prosecutors up and down the eastern seaboard trying to imprison their political opponent, bankrupt their political opponent, remove him from the ballot. This was viewed as an assault on democracy.”
HARF: The reality is that Donald Trump was credibly accused of dozens of felony, charges, was convicted of many of them. And Donald Trump has stood on the campaign trail this campaign cycle and said he wants to go after his political opponents and put them in jail. You talk a lot here. My point is, but for Democrats and Americans who look at the litany of charges Donald Trump has been charged with, some of which we saw him do with our own eyes, the fact that you can be elected president and all of that criminality and possible, convictions just goes away and you are held above the law.”
HEMINGWAY: “The way the Democrat Party treated it, it was as if he and other Republicans were below the law. And that period is over, and a lot of people are happy about that.”
HARF: “Well now he’s above it, so congrats.”
Dems are super salty about the abject failure of their politically motivated lawfare campaigns against Trump.
A new political science term enters the lexicon via Scott Jennings: country butt-whuppin’
This 20-second news brief on the ‘PBS News Weekend’ was the only mention on broadcast network TV of the shocking news about FEMA skipping homes with Trump signs. ABC, CBS, and NBC all ignored it on their Saturday morning shows and NBC on ‘Nightly News’ — ABC’s ‘World News Tonight’ didn’t air and ‘CBS Weekend News’ only on the west coast
