Biden took credit lower deficit again. He says Republicans do nothing but obstruct lowering prices.

On 7/6/2022, Joe Biden traveled to Cleveland Ohio to deliver remarks on his American Rescue Plan at Max Hayes High School. Biden blamed Vladimir Putin for high gas prices and soaring food costs while simultaneously claiming the Republicans are blocking his efforts to lower prices. revives story about “families in cars…backed up for literally miles” waiting for food, “We all remember what the economy was like when I was elected, a country … with no real plans how to get out of it. Millions of people out of their jobs… The previous administration lost more jobs on his watch than any administration since Herbert Hoover,” Biden said blaming Trump. “We made incredible progress on the economy from where we were a year-and-a-half ago. We’ve got a long way to go because of inflation, because of the, I call it the Putin tax increase, the Putin, because of gasoline… I’m fighting like hell to lower costs on things,” Biden said.

Biden then claimed Republican lawmakers are obstructing his efforts to bring down prices. “Republicans do nothing but obstruct our effort to lower your gas taxes, lower your food prices, lower your healthcare costs, lower your prescription drug costs,” Biden said.

At one point during his speech Joe Biden gave a shout-out to a woman in the audience. But she already left.

Joe Biden heard a phone ringing in the crowd while he was rambling through his speech and once again took time out to say “That’s probably Trump calling me (unintelligible) – I hear that sound there,” Biden said.

President Joe Biden took credit for lowering the federal deficit again. Factcheck: Phillip Swagel, the current director of the Congressional Budget Office, said this is because there was immense emergency spending and that spending is ending. “He didn’t really do anything, he was there while it happened,” he said. “It’s not like his administration went out and said, okay, we’re going to do a big tax increase or we’re doing to do $400 billion of spending cuts. They’ve done neither.”

At the end of Biden’s speech he coughed into his hand then shook hands with attendees.

Biden announced a plan to protect pensions and benefit cuts for working families, but did it without Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, and the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, and former Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, who is running against Republican Gov. Mike DeWine. In response, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told Fox News it is amazing to see top-tier Democrats seemingly avoid being seen with the president. “Where’s Tim Ryan? I don’t think he’s going to be with President Biden today. So the United States president makes the sixth trip to your state, you’re running for United States Senate, and you’re not going to show up?” he asked. “I think that tells you everything about where this administration is in everything that they’ve done policy-wise, how wrong it’s turned out to be.” The Democratic candidates for Ohio senator and governor were nowhere to be found as Biden visited Cleveland — an indicator of the commander in chief’s political toxicity as the longtime battleground state moves firmly into the Republican column. “We’re in close contact with Congressman Tim Ryan in particular and work with him and also Nan Whaley,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on board Air Force One.
