On 11/5/2022, President Joe Biden touted his administration’s debt reduction efforts while campaigning for Democratic candidates in Philadelphia. Joe Biden again says he “literally cut the federal debt in half,” which isn’t even close to true, “You know, because of the help I had from the senators in the Democratic Congress, we literally cut the federal debt in half by $1.4 trillion — (applause) — $1.4 trillion just this year” The $31+ trillion federal debt has not been cut in half, Biden’s math is not correct, $31T/2 = $15.5T more than 10 times inflated number. Also even if he touted the correct number, Biden’s big spending did not help inflation, here is a reporter’s question to White house: On 10/24/2022, at the briefing, Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich called Jean-Pierre, ” So why not use — why doesn’t he lean more on some of that language than continuing to repeat this “we reduced the deficit” thing that feels like, sort of, irrelevant when —”
MS. Jean-Pierre: No, the “reduce the deficit” is real — $1.4 trillion. That’s what he talked about just last week. And that is historic as well. In the — in one year, that’s what we — the President has been able to do. Those are real numbers that matter, as we talk about inflation —
Heinrich: None of his programs —
