On 5/25/2022, House panel members sharply questioned the commissioner and other agency officials at the hearing. FDA chief struggles to explain slow response on baby formula. Committee members pushed back against F.D.A. and Biden administration assertions that it was difficult to recognize in real time the extent of the contamination and the resulting nationwide breakdown in the supply chain. Califf also acknowledged several ways that the F.D.A. had erred in addressing this problem: Its follow-up inspection in January should have started sooner, he said, adding that the agency took too long to circulate a whistleblower report that arrived in October but did not reach top officials until February. “It was too slow, and there were decisions that were suboptimal along the way,” Dr. Califf said.
To many questions from lawmakers on the agency’s work flow and timeliness, Califf simply said, “We don’t have a great answer.”
Biden FDA Commissioner Califf said, “I can’t say exactly how many weeks” parents won’t have formula. “I know we did not” talk to Biden Chief of Staff but talked to others over formula closure. He said that he “can’t go into detail” why FDA took 4 months to respond to whistleblower.
Biden divisive speech: “So many black Americans wake up knowing they could lose their life in the course of just living their life — jogging, shopping, sleeping at home,” said Biden.
The Canadian President of Alibaba shared at the World Economic Forum the technology that has been developed that can be used as a ‘carbon footprint tracker’. J. Michael Evans, president of the Alibaba Group, tells World Economic Forum invitees in Davos his company is developing an “individual carbon footprint tracker.” Alibaba unveiled the next big thing, it’s called a “personal carbon footprint tracker.” “Were developing, through technology, an ability for consumers to measure their own carbon footprint. What does that mean? Where are they traveling? How are they traveling? What are they eating? What are they consuming on the platform?” Evans, a former Goldman Sachs executive, said. “So individual carbon footprint tracker. Stay tuned, we don’t have it operational yet, but this is something that we’re working on,” he went on to say.
On 5/23/2022, Senator John Kennedy said that Pres. Biden’s economic illiteracy is astounding and ‘Wouldn’t Trust Him to Open a PayPal Account’, “You mentioned — you mentioned oil and inflation,” he said. “President Biden was inaugurated on January 28 of last year. So we are on day 488 of Build Back Better. So far, the policy failures from this administration have gushed like an open fire hydrant. You mentioned oil. The president is clearly obstructing America from drilling for its own oil and — for environmental reasons, he says. Instead, he wants us to buy oil from foreign countries. Those foreign countries transport that oil to us in tankers that use 2,000 gallons of fuel per hour and emit eight tons of CO2 per hour. The irony is rich.”
“On inflation, here’s what the American people see,” Kennedy continued. “President Biden gave Americans three $600 stimulus checks. And then, for his next trick, he crashed their 401ks and increased their gasoline bills by $800 — their food bills by $3,000, and their rent by $2,000 a month. Now, unless you have untreated mental illness, you know that is not a good trade. And that’s why most Americans, at least on the economy, would — right now, would not trust the Biden administration to properly open a PayPal. Its economic illiteracy is astounding.”
