In response to this historic surge in energy costs Joe Biden enacted the Defense Production Act to produce more solar panels. On 6/6/2022, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre couldn’t explain why Joe Biden invoked the DPA for solar panels. “What’s the real emergency in the solar industry for the Defense Production Act?” a reporter asked Karine Jean-Pierre.
Jean-Pierre delivered a word salad and did not answer the question, “So, let me — I was going to say, first, the President — you know, when he takes the Defense Production Act, it’s to make sure that he’s delivering for the American people. It is an important tool that he has used a couple of times, and it has been incredibly effective. So, for this particular clean energy Defense Production Act, he is invoking the Defense Production Act to rapidly expand domestic production of solar panel parts, building insulation .. and tackle the climate crisis. And with a stronger clean energy arsenal, the United States can be an even stronger partner to our allies, especially in the face of Putin …
The reporter asked again, “But what’s the emergency in the solar industry?” She replied, “Well, this is just a step to get to — to a place where we do have a clean energy arsenal. And so, this is a very important part of the President’s — this is a very important part of the President’s agenda in getting to that clean energy system that he’s been talking about since he walked into the administration. So, this is that, and this a way that we felt that we can act to get moving in that way.”
Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich pointed out that Biden’s invocation of the Defense Production Act for solar panel manufacturing is a gift to the Chinese. “On the solar panels, how is this not a gift to Chinese solar manufacturers who–many of whom operate with forced labor and are subsidized by the Chinese Communist Party?” Heinrich said. Karine Jean-Pierre insisted Biden’s announcement is all about the US and clean energy, “So, you know, today’s announcement is about one country and one country alone, and it’s about the United States. It is about the reliability of our power — of our power grid. It is about reducing costs for American families, and it’s about enabling domestic solar manufacturers to move forward with their projects.
The actions that we’re — we are currently doing is being applauded by members of Congress, by labor, by climate groups, by U.S. CEOs, and domestic solar manufacturers as well.”
Gas prices more than doubled what they were when Biden took office when they hit $4.85. Asked about whether the White House has any new initiatives to help alleviate the burden, Jean-Pierre said that she does not ‘have anything to preview.’ She again blames gas prices on Putin, but gas has doubled since Biden took office. She stumped when it comes to Biden begging Saudi Arabia for more oil.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed Monday that he will skip the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles. The White House defended its decision to exclude certain countries, Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said there was “candid engagement” with the Mexican leader about the summit.
Out of touch senior Biden Advisor Gene Sperling has no idea what high gas prices feels like.
Joe Biden, 2006 we’re paying for high gas prices because we lack an energy policy.

Why Defense Production Act on solar panels? Gift to China? Why not invite Mexico but visit Saudi Arabia?
