On 10/19/2024, Trump received endorsements from steelworkers, and appeared to make surprising remarks about late golfing legend Arnold Palmer in a rally in Pennsylvania to drum up support in the critical swing state. Trump received endorsements from steelworkers, several of whom joined him on stage, including U.S. Steelworkers 1557 vice president Richard Tikey. “Today I’m honored to receive the endorsement of three union locals representing U.S. steel,” Trump announced during the rally. Polls have shown that Trump enjoys strong support among working-class voters. Pennsylvania is one of the crucial swing states both candidates are seeking to secure in their respective bids for the presidency.
