Pastors pray over President Trump before he departs the National Faith Summit in Powder Springs, GA.
President Donald Trump took the stage at the National Faith Summit on Monday, hosted by the National Faith Advisory Board in Atlanta. At the end of the event, a group of Christian leaders converged around Trump and prayed over the Republican nominee. “I think it would be good if you all stretched out a hand towards President Trump and unite our hearts together for him,” said Pastor Jack Graham of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.
“We love you, Jesus, and we also love our country,” Graham said. “And we thank you that you have raised up a man, Donald J. Trump, to be a warrior for the word of God and the wisdom that comes from Trump … And we pray, as you raise him up once again to be our president, that you would give him strength and wisdom and joy in the journey.”
Televangelist Paula White, who headlined and hosted the event, thanked God “for our fighter of faith, and for freedom, and for religion.” The prayer ended with the song, “YMCA.”
