On 1/17/2025, President Trump’s nominee for Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem, sat before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. Senator Andy Kim (D-N.J.) began questioning Noem by asking a question: he cited President Trump’s appointment of Tom Homan as Border czar and asked who would be in charge of the nation’s borders.
