On 4/22/2022, Biden delivered a speech on Earth Day from Seattle’s Seward Park and told Americans to drive electric cars. He brags about owning a ’68 Corvette as he tells Americans to drive electric vehicles, “I’m an automobile buff – I have a ’68 Corvette that does nothing but pollute the air, but I don’t drive very much,” said Biden.
Joe Biden went off-script said the quiet part out loud: “You know, my view of this crisis, as I said, is a genuine opportunity, an opportunity to do things we wanted to do and only now become so apparent,” he said of the environment. “I just think this is the beginning of a new day and we’re going to just have to overtake the opposition.” He added: “I really mean it.” Biden leaned forward and did his weird whisper thing again – then he began shouting out of no where.
“They talk about the split in the Democratic Party—there’s virtually no split in the Democratic Party,” Biden said, adding that “48 of my Democratic colleagues in the Senate vote with me 94% of the time.” The president shared his take on the Republican Party. The president said that “virtually no Republicans” will work with Democrats, saying that, at times, “we get up to as many as seven or eight.” “This ain’t your father’s Republican Party,” Biden said. “Not a joke.”
“One of the things I found out as President of the United States, I get to spend a lot of that money,” Biden said. “We’re going to start the process where every vehicle in the United States military, every vehicle, is going to be climate-friendly — every vehicle — I mean it.” He added: “We’re spending billions of dollars to do it.” It is unclear what steps the Biden administration is taking to transition U.S. military vehicles from their current status to “climate-friendly.”
Joe Biden says says he wants to make cities in the western united states into “economic cubs again”. He says he “brought over 100 nations together,” but can’t remember what meeting it was. He does his whisper, then suddenly starts screaming. He claims he has “flown over every major wildfire in this country”. He starts reciting poetry in middle of his earth day speech.
The president also said that he met with leaders of the American automobile industry, announcing that they came to an agreement on an “ambitious goal” of having 50% electric vehicles sales by year 2030. Biden says environment got him involved in politics, but that’s not what he said previously.
During his later speech of “Remarks on Lowering Costs for American Families”, Joe Biden forgets name of speech attendee, unable to read it from teleprompter either. He once again repeats that no one making less than $400k will see tax increase in his budget.
Biden Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said, “we’ll have to put up with high inflation for awhile longer”.
Biden climate Czar John Kerry says Biden supports a “50 to 52% reduction” in emissions before 2030.
