On 9/23/2022, Joe Biden delivered remarks at a DNC campaign-style event at the National Education Association headquarters in Washington, DC. President Joe Biden boasted gas prices, “Gas prices – I know I got criticized for going into the stockpile. But guess what? Gas prices are down, $1.30 a gallon. And in 41 states plus the District of Columbia, the average gasoline price is less than $2.99.” The Gas Prices of $2.99 is not true.
Biden pointed to a woman in the audience and said the two “go back a long way” – then he disclosed the girl was only 12… and he was 30, “But guess what? We got a lot to do. (Addressing an audience member.) You got to say hi to me. (Laughter.) We go back a long way. She was 12; I was 30. But anyway — (laughter) — this woman helped me get an awful lot done. Anyway. (Applause.)”
On 9/22/2022, a reporter asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) whether Joe Biden should run again in 2024 during the Speaker’s weekly briefing, Pelosi declined to say whether Joe Biden should run for president again in 2024. Pelosi distanced herself from Biden, “President Biden is the president of the United States. He did a great service to our country. He defeated Donald Trump. Let’s not forget that,” Pelosi said. She continued, “I’m not going into politics about whether the president should run or not.”
On 9/23/2022, Joe and Jill Biden hosted and delivered remarks at a musical performance by Sir Elton John on the South Lawn.
71-year-old Jill Biden donned a tacky, ill-fitting dress during Friday night’s musical performance. The dress was so tight that Jill Biden’s bellybutton was visible and Jill Biden kept tugging at her dress because it didn’t fit her properly. During the ceremony, at one point Joe Biden wrapped his arm around Elton and told the crowd, “By the way, it’s all his fault we are spending $6 billion in tax payer dollars on HIV and AIDS this month.” So it’s not clear where Joe pulled that $6 billion number from. Joe Biden surprised Elton John by awarding him a National Humanities Medal.
On 9/20/2022, President Joe Biden said it was “not rational” to send migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border back to nations like Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua as concerns grow over the number of migrants arriving at the southern border. A reporter asked Biden why the border is “more overwhelmed on your watch.” “Because there are three countries,” Biden began. “There are fewer and fewer immigrants coming from Central America than from Mexico. It’s a totally different circumstance.” “What’s on my watch now is Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, and the ability to send them back to those states is not rational,” he continued.
On 9/23/2022, during White House press briefing, a reporter asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, “President Biden said last week that it’s not rational to send these people from Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua back. Does that mean that President Biden is in some way — or the White House — in some way encouraging them to come to the U.S.?”
MS. Jean-Pierre: … And he was saying that they should not be used as a political pawn by Governor DeSantis or any Republican governor. That’s what he was speaking to. He was calling out …

On 9/23/2022, during White House press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the US economy is in a transition to a more steady growth, “What we are seeing…is a transition to a more steady and stable growth, and that’s what we’re currently seeing,” Karine Jean-Pierre said.
Edward Lawrence, a White House Correspondent for FOX Business, asked Jean-Pierre,
Reporter: “So, the [Fed] is saying…the economy will…slow down to growing just 0.2% for the entirety of this year and…1.2% for next year. Is this the stable growth [Biden] is moving us toward?”
Jean-Pierre: “[W]e’re coming off of last year’s historic economic growth”
Reporter: “Americans are making tough choices related to inflation…Last week, they saw [Biden] do the celebration…when core inflation for the 1st time in 5 months…This week, there’s another…after the Fed chairman said there’d be more economic pain.”
Jean-Pierre: “So, the President has always, when he talked about the economy, has made clear to understand what the American families are going through…He understands that…inflation…is giving some pain…That is why we passed…Inflation Reduction Act…It is going to lower costs”
