During the hearing, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) roasted FBI Director Chris Wray for leaving a statutorily-required committee hearing early so he could go on a vacation. Wray confessed that he cut short his appearance at a Senate oversight hearing in August to take a break in the Adirondacks using the official FBI jet despite initially indicating it was a “business” obligation.
