Biden wanted older voters not to vote Marco Rubio. In Florida, a state famously popular among retirees, he declare that the current crop of GOP candidates “ain’t your father’s Republican party” and said that he prayed God would deliver his opponents “some enlightenment.” He dinged Demings’ Republican opponent, Sen. Marco Rubio, for failing to back his Inflation Reduction Act, passed in August by the Democratic-led Congress. “Not one single Republican voted for it in the United States Senate,” Biden told a crowd at Hallandale Beach community center. “Every single solitary Republican in Congress voted against these savings, including Sen. Rubio.”
Inflation is proving to be the front-line issue in the election, so he focused on his efforts to keep costs down for Florida seniors. During his speech, the president also highlighted the Inflation Reduction Act, which was passed in August. He also hit back at Republicans who say that he and his policies have caused inflation in the U.S.
