On 7/15/2022, Joe Biden delivered remarks at Augusta Victoria Hospital in East Jerusalem. “My background and the background of my family is Irish American and we have a long history not fundamentally unlike the Palestinian people, with Great Britain and their attitude toward Irish Catholics over the years for 400 years,” said Biden while he was in East Jerusalem. Biden’s speech was interrupted by coughing. Joe Biden took a sip of water then told the audience that he swallowed his own saliva “wrong,” causing coughing in the middle of remarks. “I was making a speech and I had a terrible headac- — (coughs) — excuse me — a terrible headache. And — sorry — (takes a sip of water) — (coughs) — I swallowed wrong,” Biden said.
After his coughing, Joe Biden told the audience a story about his surgery after he suffered two brain aneurysms. Joe Biden said the doctors had to open the top of his head twice because they couldn’t find a brain the first time. “I had a terrible headache. This was years ago. And I did a very stupid thing: I got on an aircraft and I flew home. It turned out I had two cranial aneurysms, and I got rushed to a hospital in the middle of a snowstorm for a nine-and-a-half-hour operation that saved my life. Then I had the second operation; they found an aneurysm on the other side of my brain. I joke: The reason they went in twice to take the top of my head off is because they couldn’t find a brain the first time,” said Biden.
Then Joe Biden told a story about nurses rubbing his face and whispering in his ear after his surgery. “I don’t think you nurses are appreciated enough… and I have not said this publicly before…” Biden said before disclosing he almost flatlined. But nurses brought him back to life by rubbing his face and whispering in his ear. “You don’t know what each monitor is, but you know. And I really mean it — it’s true. But you just get tired. Even when you’re not in pain, you just want to quit. And the nurses at Walter Reed Hospital would come up, they’d rub my face, they’d whisper in my ear. They’d get close and tell me, ‘It’s going to be okay.’ They made a difference in my life,” Biden said.

Kamala Harris claimed she has met countless parents who have to drive to a McDonald’s parking lot to have access to WiFi. “I travel the country. I can’t tell you how many parents I met, who would have to go on in drive the kids to the local, fast food restaurant, or library, to have access to public WiFi,” Harris said. “The kids would be in the back seat of the car are trying to do their homework,” she added.
On 7/14/2022, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg bragged about high gas prices forcing people to switch to electric vehicles during an interview. “We’re for cutting the cost of electric vehicles because when you have an electric vehicle, then you’re also going to be able to save on gas, but you got to be able to afford it in the first place,” Buttigieg said. “Right now, we’re actually starting to see on some models the costs come to where even if your car payment’s a little higher, your gas payment will be a little lower, and you come out ahead, but the prices still need to come down for most Americans to be able to get an EV.”
