On 6/25/2022, Joe Biden delivered remarks as he signed a new bill into law. Biden is heading to Munich, Germany to meet with G-7 nations and NATO allies amid multiple domestic crises. Jill Biden attended her husband’s bill signing and pressured him to brush off reporters. Jill Biden often interrupts her husband Joe and drags him away from reporters. Jill Biden hovered over Joe as he signed the bill then she reminded him it was time to leave before she dragged him away. A reporter asked, “Mr. President, will you take a couple questions?” As Joe Biden shuffled away, he said “I have a helicopter waiting for me to take off. We’re going to have plenty of time to talk about a lot of this.” The reporter asked, “Do you think the Supreme Court is broken, in your view?” Biden replied, “I think the Supreme Court has made some terrible decisions.”
Flashback during a 2016 Presidential debate with Hillary Clinton, then-candidate Donald Trump was asked if he would like to see the Supreme Court overturn Roe v Wade. Trump responded, “Well if we put another two or perhaps three justices on that will happen. That will happen automatically in my opinion because I am putting pro-life justices on the court. I will say this it will go back to the states and the states will then make a determination.” Throughout the first term of President Donald Trump, he nominated three justices for the Supreme Court – Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. All three voted to overturn Roe v Wade.
On 6/24/2022, Vice President Harris at the NALEO 39th Annual Conference, word salad “what we see can be unburdened by what has been”. She said, “The strength of our nation has always been that, despite the odds and the obstacles, we push to move forward; that we are guided by what we see that can be, unburdened by what has been. And I know everyone in this room understands this and has, in many ways, lived a life that illustrates this.”
Harris brags that she and Biden “were not deterred” amid economic crisis that still exists, “Remember, our nation also faced — and we can talk about current day as well — but then, in particular, we faced a historic economic challenge … But together with you, the President and I were not deterred.”
Harris claims action on lower gas prices, but prices have more than doubled under Biden, “I think we all agree and know inflation is still too high. We are seeing higher prices at the store because supply chains slowed down dramatically … and higher prices at the gas pump, in large part because of Putin’s … And families across our nation, in particular working families, are feeling the effect. I know you know the President and I are using every tool at our disposal to lower costs, including the cost of gas … ”
