President Trump is meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, a vocal supporter of Ukraine, at the White House after denouncing Russia’s overnight strikes on Kyiv. Former NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg, who now serves as the finance minister of Norway, is also expected to join Støre in the Oval Office for talks with the Trump administration. The Thursday meeting with Norwegian leaders also comes as the trade partners reel from Trump’s sweeping tariff agenda. The administration hit Norway with 15 percent tariffs earlier this month before issuing a 90-day pause to foster negotiations.
