Tompkins, the truck driver, put the truck in reverse to avoid a collision.
Tompkins later said he realized the driver was having a seizure because “he had his arms up by his chest.”
Tompkins jumped through the passenger window of the moving car. He put 2 fingers into the convulsing driver’s mouth to prevent him from biting his tongue.
Then Tompkins put the car in park. Tompkins said he learned to act quickly at 16 when he was struck head-on by a 92-year-old woman who had a seizure at the wheel.
