On 4/18/2022, White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that the administration’s return to selling oil drilling leases on federal lands isn’t to lower domestic gas prices. Earlier in the day, the Bureau of Land Management began reissuing environmental assessments and sale notices for new oil and gas leases following the suspension issued by the president in 2021. Reporters pressed Psaki on the subject, but she noted that the action is “not in line with the president’s policy” and went into effect due to a court injunction the administration is appealing. “We need to move towards a more clean energy economy,” she stated, “we don’t feel they are needed in terms of how long it will take to get up drilling because of the court action.”

She also said the court decision doesn’t undercut President Joe Biden’s stated clean energy goals, “Obviously, we’re going to continue to fight this legal action,” Psaki continued. “The president remains committed. Addressing the climate crisis is one of the four pillars that he came in — he ran on as president, and he will continue to fight for one of the reasons that this was so troubling to him.”

Responding to a question about what Biden himself can do to motivate Congress to pass his climate proposals, she claimed the administration “will continue to propose, have continued to propose, a historic investment.” “So there are a lot of ways to get there, that we will continue to work with Congress to take actions,” Psaki closed. “We are continuing to pursue [Biden’s goal], and we’re going to continue to do everything we can to reach it.”

Easter Bunny blocks press from asking Biden Afghanistan questions. White House brought out the Easter Bunny to the presser following the Easter Egg hunt earlier today. After opening the press conference, the Easter Bunny was promptly shooed off stage by WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who joked “enough of the Bunny business.”

On 4/18/2022, O’Leary did not hold back when he was asked about Elon Musk’s bid to purchase Twitter, slamming the company’s board for being completely inept and announcing his support for the Tesla founder to take over the social media platform so its shareholders can finally start to see a profit after a decade-plus of stagnant stock prices. “It’s horrific what this company has done to their shareholders. I weep like a baby for them. I wouldn’t touch this stock. However, if Elon Musk gave me a piece of the deal … I’d back him because of executional performance on everything he touches. The rest of this board and those employees have done a horrifically bad job. I think they should be fired.”

On 4/21/2022, Joe Biden traveled to Portland, Oregon to talk about infrastructure and improvements. Biden doesn’t how long he has been in office as president. Biden addressed the rising cost of gasoline, casting the blame on Russia’s Putin and saying he was doing “everything I can” to reduce the price of gas, including releasing millions of barrels from the nation’s strategic petroleum reserve. “I’m doing everything I can to bring down Putin’s gas hike,” he said. But he said the U.S. needs to “get off this roller coaster” of reliance on gasoline and move toward more renewable fuels. He said the country needs to move beyond its dependency on oil by developing energy alternatives and improving public transit, the united states needs to get off oil.

Joe Biden can’t remember how long he has been in office as president. Joe Biden forgets name of Oregon’s own congressman Earl Blumenauer. Joe Biden claims he “sat down and wrote” the “original” infrastructure bill with his “own paw”.
