Trump responds to reports that Biden is telling people he would’ve beaten him if he were the nominee:
“Hey look, I wish him well. He had a chance to do it in the debate and that didn’t work out too well for him.”

REPORTER: Why did you change your mind on H-1B visas, sir?

PRESIDENT-ELECT TRUMP: I didn’t change my mind. I’ve always felt we have to have the most competent people. We need smart people coming into our country and we need a lot of people coming in. We’re going to have jobs like we’ve never had before.

REPORTER: But sir, you changed your position!

REPORTER: Do you plan to go to the Carter funeral next week?

Donald Trump rang in the new year with his family, Vice President-elect JD Vance, Elon Musk and other high-profile guests who attended a glitzy party at his Palm Beach estate, where the president-elect told reporters he’ll be attending the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter. Trump also said he believes House Republicans will support Speaker Mike Johnson continuing in his job when votes are cast Friday and continued to express support for H-1B visas. A debate over the H-1B visa program erupted on social media last week involving Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who Trump appointed to lead his Department of Government Efficiency. Musk and Ramaswamy defended the use of H-1B visas, which were criticized by other prominent voices in Trump’s MAGA movement, including Trump’s former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon.
