Dennis Quaid has declared Donald Trump the best president since Ronald Reagan.

The Golden Globe nominee referenced his starring role as his “favorite president of the 20th century” in the recent Reagan biopic as he showed his support for Trump at the Republican nominee’s campaign rally Saturday in Coachella, California. He compared the current state of affairs in the US to when Reagan took office. “It’s amazing how the issues of the 1980 election are very similar to what they are today,” said Quaid.

“We were a nation in decline. That’s what they told us,” he continued. “Ronald Reagan came along and said, no, we’re not a nation in decline. We’re going there. And we followed him. The same with Trump, with President Trump. My favorite president of the 21st century.”
