On 3/8/3023, a reporter asked Karine Jean-Pierre what the hell Joe Biden has been doing the last two days. “This is the second day in a row where the president hasn’t had any public events on his schedule. What’s he up to?” a reporter asked KJP. Karine Jean-Pierre laughed and said Biden, who has spent 40% of his presidency on vacation, is “always working.” According to Biden’s public schedule, he started his day at 10:15 am with a ‘daily briefing’ and went back.
Reporter: And just a quick logistical question. This is the second day in a row where the President hasn’t had any public events on his schedule. What’s he up to? And is there any sort of strategy to having him —

KJP: (Laughs.) “What’s he up to?” “What is the President up to?”

Reporter: — kind of out of the public eye before this big speech tomorrow?

KJP: So, look, yesterday, as I think we read out two heads-of-state calls that he had … We read those two calls out. And so the President is always working, always making sure that he — not even always making sure, he does have the American people at the top of mind every day … And you will see him tomorrow for the big day as we roll out the President’s budget.
